3. Course Enrolment
Enrolment in a Kapital Owl course is subject to the following:
- Enrolment is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment and written confirmation from us via email.
- Course places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
- You must be at least 18 years of age to enrol in a course independently. Younger participants may attend only with the consent and attendance of a parent or legal guardian.
- We reserve the right to decline an enrolment application at our discretion, in which case any payment received will be refunded in full within 14 business days.
4. Fees and Payment
Course fees are as listed on our website at the time of enrolment:
- Budgeting Mastery Course: RM 500 per participant
- Retirement Planning Essentials: RM 950 per participant
- Financial Literacy for Entrepreneurs: RM 1,400 per participant
All fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Payment methods and instructions will be provided at the time of booking confirmation. We do not store your payment card details โ these are handled securely by our third-party payment processor.
5. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- More than 14 days before the course start date: full refund, minus any transaction fees charged by the payment processor.
- Between 7 and 14 days before the start date: 50% refund, or the option to transfer your place to a future intake at no charge.
- Less than 7 days before the start date: no refund, but you may transfer your place to another participant or to a future intake (one transfer per enrolment).
- No-show on the day: no refund and the place cannot be transferred.
To request a cancellation or transfer, please contact us at info@{{DOMAIN}} in writing. Refunds will be processed within 14 business days of approval.
6. Changes to Scheduled Courses
We reserve the right to reschedule, combine, or cancel a course in the following circumstances:
- Insufficient enrolments to run a viable session.
- Unforeseen circumstances affecting the facilitator or venue.
- Events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure), including but not limited to natural disasters, public health emergencies, or government directives.
Where we cancel a course, we will offer you a full refund or a place in the next available intake. We will provide as much advance notice as possible. We are not liable for any travel, accommodation, or other costs you may have incurred in preparation for a cancelled course.
7. Nature of Our Courses โ Not Financial Advice
All course content provided by Kapital Owl is for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing in our courses, materials, or website constitutes:
- Financial advice, investment advice, or tax advice.
- A recommendation to purchase or sell any financial product or instrument.
- Advice regulated under the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 or any other Malaysian financial regulation.
Participants are encouraged to seek independent advice from a licensed financial adviser, accountant, or legal professional before making financial decisions. Kapital Owl accepts no liability for any financial outcomes that may result from applying the general educational content shared in our courses.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on this website and in our course materials โ including text, graphics, slides, workbooks, and exercises โ is the intellectual property of Kapital Owl or its licensors. You may not:
- Reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any course material without our prior written consent.
- Use course materials for commercial purposes, including resale or delivery to others.
- Record any course session without the express written permission of Kapital Owl and the written consent of other participants present.
You are welcome to take personal notes and apply what you have learned in your own life.
9. Participant Conduct
We expect all participants to engage respectfully and constructively. We reserve the right to remove a participant from a session โ without refund โ if their behaviour is disruptive, offensive, or contrary to the comfort and safety of other participants or our staff.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Kapital Owl shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of our website or courses.
- Loss of income, business, or data resulting from reliance on our educational content.
- Any technical interruption, error, or unavailability of our website.
Our total liability to you in connection with any course or service shall not exceed the fee paid by you for that specific course.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
